Day to Day

Get the full story in the business timeline of Mike & Rio

Our Day to Day Glamorous Lives. Because small steps count.

December 31

Rio - Time for some New Year’s Resolutions? Not really for me. Just keep going, step by step, and you’ll get where you want to be. Radical resolutions that no one ever keeps aren’t any fun.

Thursday, December 10

Mike – Got the Apple certificate to develop iPhone applicatinos, then got a private key, will have a public key in a bit, then I can upload for testing tonight…FUCK EN AY!!

Wednesday, December 9

Rio – Still a lot of angst at this point. I’m german, I have plenty of it. Though I switched to Cindy Lauper today.

Tuesday, December 8

Rio – You know the day is going to be utterly wasted when you listed to Pearl Jam’s Black on repeat for 5 hours

Monday, December 7
Mike – I’ll have a working prototype today of data access for my iPhone application. Bout time and can’t wait.

Sunday, December 6
Mike – At the fishbowl looking at the world and letting everything fade but 1 thing. iPhone databases. Very very complex, yet very very simple. Just focus…focus. See this one thing as the world…the future. Let the energy of it fill you. Feel its fire. I am above the bullshit, I ride alone, this beast is mine to tame. Talk seems to be the appeal in all the twitters and facebooks I see flicking around me. I shut it all out and only see this. I shall sit here till I have it or I will die in my seat. Fishbowl is open 24 hours. Give me database or give me death.

Mike – Holy shit…I may have finally seen this. I can’t fucking believe it. Can it be so simple…my heart wont stop pounding.

Thursday, December 4

Rio – Pranayama, our iPhone app, was approved by apple today. Finally.

Tuesday, December 1

Mike – Working on iphone applications with a fury in Barriques Wine Cave (a coffee shop) in Madison, WI.

Saturday, November 28

Mike – Spent the day in chicago creating. Just got out of the bar scene. Empty places filled with empty faces. The cityscape inspired me as did the much needed exodus from ann arbor, but the real value came when the ignorance bubble in my chest burst and oozed forth truth. Love and focus. How far and long I neglected you both. I love you. (3 drinks…what can I say…I’m a lightweight and a lover when I had a few)

Wednesday, November 25

Mike – Played the more advanced Trebuchet game. Then started to knock out the rewrite of the iphone app. Had all this spagetti code in it. Added a new pop-up roll bar and my eyes quickly glazed over as I contemplated potatoes growing and at what rate. So on and off. But I think I gots the basic idea down. Just have to add the SQLlite (I think its that) and snap…shes ready for a trial.

Tuesday, November 24

Mike – Played rounds of “Crush the castle”. Fun shit. Total waste of time. Odd day in all. Kinda one of those days that floats…seems to unfold before you outside of own control yet under your control. Very very odd day. Saw Alessandras link to her party on facebook…I may boycott it just for the snobbery overtones of it. I kid, may be cool, or cliched, I’ll find out. I’ll keep an eye for the exits. (She’s gonna kill me :) )

Rio – Not a particularly productive day. Time to regroup. I set up a fan page on facebook for Saagara and set up a facebook event for our launch party on Dec 5. This is when we are officially launching Pranayama, our first app! We’re excited about it because it will be at a large restaurant/bar with hopefully lots of people there (buying our app) ;)

Monday, November 23

Rio -

We sent off the press packs for Saagara’s iPhone application Pranayama, to a guy at the New York Times! He wrote an article that describes some of the issues we’re addressing with our company Saagara. Mike helped me make our “under construction” website for Saagara prettier so that people don’t have a heart attack when checking us out. On that note, we really need a website for Saagara soon. We’ve had a few setbacks on that front….there are a lot of issues with this outsourcing thing.

Sunday, November 22

Rio

Submitted our company bank details to “iTunes Connect”, our apple app store account. Hopefully apple will get their asses moving real soon here and approve our app.

I also spent 2 hours googling “best Stewie quotes” for the app that Mike and I are developing. More on that soon.

Friday, November 20

Rio –

Saagara LLC submitted its first iPhone app to Apple for review! Read about it here.
